VESSEL VALUATION

TWS Marine is fluent in traditional valuation methods such as discounted cash flow, comparable transactions, and earnings multiples. Our experience as vessel owners and conducting ongoing market research permits us to apply appropriate assumptions when projecting a vessel’s future earning potential.

BROKERAGE SERVICES

TWS Marine has practical experience operating, mobilizing, and maintaining marine assets. Our recommendation on the optimal vessel to purchase is not driven solely by the lowest initial purchase price. After identification of suitable vessels, TWS Marine performs a “total cost of ownership” analysis based on: (1) Initial Purchase Price, (2) Mobilization Cost, (3) Upgrade or Refurbishment Cost, and (4) Future Maintenance/Operational Liabilities.

TWS Marine’s analysis mitigates a prospective buyer’s risk of selecting a vessel with a lower purchase price but then incurring subsequent costs related to mobilization, upgrades, operations, and maintenance that more than offset a lower sale price.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

TWS provides commercial support for vessels to optimize their earnings potential. This includes provision of personnel to oversee commercial activity: issuance of quotes, BIMCO charter party preparation, bid assembly, and communication with prospective clients.

TWS has previously secured contracts and operated vessels in the following countries: Nigeria, Cameron, Benin, Gabon, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, United States, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela. TWS can assist vessel owners in penetrating new markets by raising awareness of their vessels with suitable clients and arranging local partnerships.

TENDER FACILITATION

TWS facilitates tenders for marine assets on behalf of third parties through identification of qualified bidders, development of tender packages, liaison with bidders, and review of bid submissions.

CONTRACT REVIEW
TWS management has overseen the execution of more than $1 billion in marine chartering contracts. TWS can be retained to review marine contracts with regard to risk management, negotiation points, control of credit extension, and overall likelihood of enforceability.
SPECIFICATION SHEETS
The commercial face of any vessel is its specification sheet which requires in-depth technical evaluation to accurately represent the vessel’s capabilities and ensures alignment with the charterer’s requirements. For a large fleet, the specification sheets can be a critical operational reference through inclusion of sufficient detail in a concise format. TWS is experienced in development of specification sheets in a flexible format to support operational and commercial activity.
